Is there the lawyer lock under the cylinder latch
Found 13 with a search under completed items.

A 649 is all stainless steel.
An Airweight in a similar model is a 38 or 638.
If it's factory nickel, not chrome, and an Airweight, it is most likely a model 38.
If it was made prior to 1958, it may not have a model number stamped on it.
A few good pictures would help identify your revolver, and then a search of completed auctions would be easier.
OK-It has "AIRWEIGHT" on the right side of the barrel with "38 SPL. CTG." under it. No reference to 649? With cylinder opened it's stamped 38-1. Shinny chrome finish. Neighbor owns this and asked me if I was interested in buying it from him. Told me he bought it in 1989 for $270. Never fired and has box. I want to be fair with him, he's a good guy but have no idea of value. Thanks again
So what it is, is a model 38-1, nickel plated, not chrome.
There are none that I can find on Gunbroker.
So, for what it's worth, I would pay him back what he paid for it, plus $100.
An end user might pay double its original price.
Pretty nice piece with box, oh I would for sure give him $500 - here it could bring 800-1k course there are fees, taxes, hassle, ect.
