There is a hunter who is missing in SE Missouri. I don't know him but I ask for prayers that he is found safe. Went missing yesterday near Van Buren. Search crews have been out for two days. They found his gun and part of his gear near Current River according to news reports. They are hoping he has sought shelter in one of the numerous caves in the area.
His name is Phillip Carnell. Link to news report:

Hoping it turns out well
It don't look good, but prayers he's found in good order.
Prayers said for him and the searchers.
Prayers from here.
Hope the search goes well.
Strange scenario for sure.
Unfortunate ending to the story.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Well, dang it. That's a sucky ending.
Not a good outcome
Sad news.
Prayers for his family
Dang, I was hoping for a better ending. Terrible way to go.
Sad news, prayers for him and his family from here.
sad to hear prayers to the family
That is terrible, hypothermia can kill you when the temps are in the 60's if you get wet and can not get dried out.
Sad outcome
Very sad. Prays for his family and him.
Rob
Fell into a slough, and "froze to death." Died of hypothermia.
Damn.
Rule #2 when out in the boonies in cold weather. Have a way to start a fire.
In 8th grade we read "To Light a Fire" by Jack London. Incredible, brutal story. A guy in Alaska fell into a creek. He had to light a fire, he pulled out the matches, which were dry, but his hands were too cold. He couldn't light the fire and he died.
