Well, an unfired 8" barrel. And the pretty barrels are the only part of a Python I like anyway.

make a nice peashooter to kill flies with...........
I was thinking about hanging a 3/o treble hook off the end and towing it behind me when I start ocean swimming again next summer. I am pretty sure I can catch a mess of bluefish with it.
Back in my grade school days, ( stone age ) that would have made the coolest pea shooter in the whole class! Do .357 spitballs qualify as magnums? Bob
Nice........
My "extra" Python barrel......is a new 6" blued version.
I might even get it fitted to my 8" Python frame......somehow.......someday. 😉
Somebody done chopped it's head off.
Oh goody, you can make a Smython!
Is that left over from that Ruger you tore apart???
Put it on a S&W and have a nice revolver.
Can you take that pile of Ruger parts and weld something together that might work?
True.........
But.............you(or a knowledgeable gunsmith) can perform what is little known as a "trigger-bend-and-fit" to a Python action. I did mine about 4 decades ago......involving multiple new parts, if I remember correctly.
Or.........buy a S&W 586 or/and a 686......which I also did a few months later. 😉
Pythons are for looking at, S&W's are for shooting. The smythons were big back in the 1970's and look pretty cool.
