Another One for the .350 Legend

A cousin has been leasing the hunting rights to my farm and has taken several deer over the years. Last year his BIL, Jim, joined him and shot a young 6 point with my Ruger American .350. Today is opening day and Jim has a .350 of his own, a Franci. At 4:20 PM, I heard a shot and went out to check. I helped track and we found his nice 8 point. It was a high lung shot, through & through, but that deer ran at least 150 yards through thick cover. It's good that we had our first real snow today; the blood trail would have been a lot harder to follow on the leaves. This is only Jim's second deer and those two guys, even though in their middle 50's are as happy as teenagers! (I wish I was clever enough to post pictures!)
