I also have mixed thoughts
Attention getter having something different . I have seen them around for decades. But never upclose and personal
I also thought about buying a set yrs ago
But decided to just stay with Mattel based stocks . But options are wide fixed ,folding, collapsible, Pistol brace .metal plastic, lightweight . Target ,tactical.
Opens enought options for me
But that's just my thoughts
I say go with what you like
Speaking of ar's
I just received a BCG today from psa that will allow me to finish one more
Never have too many lol
I'm still out on wood furniture on an AR. Some days I think "yeah that's kinda cool". Other days I think "that looks kinda goofy". Now wood furniture on an FAL is the bomb.
that would make it an evil brown gun...............
I like it, would like to see it after maybe fifty years after it has acquired a nice patina to the wood. But on the practical and realistic side the AR was designed to be a combat weapon and composite material serves the purpose better.
Should help tame the nasty recoil of 5.56.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
....For me. I'll pass...a wood stock on an AR is b-u-t-t ugly to me, no matter the wood figure...the "essence" of an AR is lightweight, durable...and wood, kills both...all my AR's will keep their original stocks...I do like nice wood on my other rifles and shotguns, burl is really nice...
No
Your gun your money, your choice... I probably won't on my AR's but that's my choice. On the other hand, I really only like wood on the SKS and AK's.... each to their own, I guess.
