14 DAYS since my procedure....got permission to hunt from the Doctor. Told to take it easy but all restrictions have been lifted. My bride is going to drop me off within 200 yards from where I intend to set up a ground blind. My buddy told me to call him if I shoot one and he will drag, clean and load for me....
It will be nice to sit out there in God's beauty and just do something normal after all this !!

It was a team effort.....the neighbor drove out and helped me load it in his gator......he transferred it to my truck and I drove over to my buddy's house and he hung it and cleaned it for me... Between all the blood thinners and meds I was not of much help. Good Neighbors and Friends are a blessing....
Really happy to get this one after all this medical stuff....I missed the big one and this guy came running right at me so here he is.....

Retirement has afforded the opportunity to hunt more and the whole idea of not being out there was driving me nuts. I was surprised the Doc gave me the OK, but he did restrict me in terms of lifting too much and warned me about the blood thinners and how cutting myself could be a real problem etc. It was humbling to have some Friends/Neighbors help me out, but they were pulling for me to get out there and enjoy this passion I have...
