Anyone Have a H-P Laser Jet?

I have a Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M277dw. It has worked just fine for a few years. I'm trying to scan a doc to my laptop and have done so many times. The last time was just a week ago. Today I find that I only see scan to: "HP Flow CM, Scan to USB Drive, Scan to Network Folder, and Scan to E-Mail. I no longer see " Scan to (computer name) computer". I have changed no hardware or added new software. Any ideas guys?
It's too late for me, save yourself.

mine is sitting on the floor ready for recycle, it did the same . H-P support was worthless .
I bought a Canon
Didn't you just get a new modem? That could be where the issue is if the two devices talk through the modem.
What NeoBlackdog said, if it is connected to your PC by wireless and your new router has been installed, chances are the IP address on either the printer to get to the router and/or your PC has changed. You may need to reinstall the printer software on the PC or edit it... it is very hard to try to describe how to do this on this forum, didn't you say in another post that your son helped with getting tv setup to your new router? If so see if he can help get the printer reconnected.
HP makes about the most difficult printers to work with. I stopped considering them years ago.

@Mr. Perfect ouch! that hurt a little, used to be they were the best, But I can't dispute your thoughts on the printers today... over 30 years ago I could fix any HP printer in less than 30 minutes using primarily a long handle Phillip's screwdriver and some (now outlawed) rubber wheel cleaner... When they spun off the pc/printer operations (HP) I stayed with the Enterprise side of the house (HPE) and moved on to many other more complex systems, First repairing them, then latter teaching others how to maintain/administer them. I still use HP equipment (PCs and Printers) but most of the time they get replaced every two years or so since usually cheaper to just buy a new one... Anyways sorry for getting sidetracked @cbxjeff on your post, your issue should be easy to remedy if you can get it reconfigured.
Have you contacted HP's Re-Boot Dept? Shut it all off, unplug it & start again.
Jeff's problem is one of the reasons why. They just up and remove themselves from your network if you don't print in a couple days. Not to mention they claim their ink has dried up during the time it takes to get them back online. Then there is the paper feeding issues. And then there is the fact their ink is the most expensive on the market.

I think you guys have it. It's the new router. I'll see if my son can help but I doubt it. I'll see if there is a H-P forum that may help since you have said that the official H-P help sucks. I guess I'm lucky because this 10 year old printer has been great. The only problem I've had is that the color ink dried from lack of use. I always just printed in black but now try to use color now and then. The older I get, the harder things are. 😕
I hate computers with;
operating systems
routers
earthnet cable
and printers
I will never buy another HP or Cannon printer.
Way to complicated.
Brother is simple and easy and ink is cheap.

Back in 1998,our first printer was an HP color ink jet.......which was "A rich man's Xerox machine", as the black ink cartridge was about $30 and the color cartridge was almost $40.
Yeah.......I bought cartridge refill "kits", but had limited success......not to mention messy limited success.
After the HP bit the dust......I had to find something better. We bought a Brother MFC-240C printer/copier/fax/.....etc. machine(Best Buy had them on sale at $49.95.......bought one, and went back for two more....kids). It has four ink cartridges......black, red, yellow, and blue(great......because the colors are consumed at different rates). Those factory cartridges were about $17 each.
But NOW.....since 2017......I've been buying generic ink cartridges(that have even larger capacities) off of fleabay MUCH MUCH cheaper. The last batch I bought (5-19-21) consisted of 18 total cartridges for................get ready.......................$19.70 including TT&L.........TO MY DOOR!!!!!!!!
You know........that's like..........FREE!!!!!
Post script......after the kids left home.....I got two spare printers.......mine, mine, mine, mine........MINE!!!!! 😜
As a testament to HP's reliability, I bought a HP 200 laserjet printer in 2015, and it has run without a hiccup since. I use it for everything; printing invoices, emails, monthly statements, photos. It does not print true photo quality, but acceptable for most uses. I have an ink-jet printer, but it is too problem-prone and too expensive. I use it to scan documents to a usb drive.
I use only recycle, off -brand toner cartridges. Laserjet printers do not use “ink' cartridges. They use toner cartridges, which are dry to begin with.
It works on wireless, adapting to any device that comes into my house. It also has an e-mail capability. I once got a boarding ticket from Shanghai airport for an American professer in China. I located him on the internet, and informed him so he would not go to his printer, expecting to find it. He could have gotten a new one at the airport, but he was appreciative. It seems he had the exact e-mail address that I had (my name and wife's name). He assured me he would change it.
I will use the laserjet till it quits, but so far (7 years), it seems to work ok.
