Nursing home angel trees....if you can, drop by or call to get info on sponsoring one

This will be the easiest feel good thing you do all year....I promise.

You can call and ask them to tell you what someone wants and just drop it by....or have someone text a picture. I think just picking up simple supplies and letting the nurses sort out who might want it would work too.

Its the most simple requests.....pajamas, candy, sweat suits, brush, comb, house shoes, socks ...SOCKS were a big request last year for several people.

Puzzle books, word search and such are good too.

This is one I'm handling this year. Time is short though....this one has to be filled by December 9th. Other places will have different dates they need Angels filled.

Give it a try, you'll look forward to doing it next year!

Our church sponsors a nursing home every year as well as a veteran's program and juvenile group home. I look forward to this time of year and the opportunities to share blessings with others.

Have done that in the past. Went to the mall and picked names off the trees they have in there. It was fun, like you say.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Local Walmart has at least one maybe two Christmas wish trees one for kids and one for the older people I have not looked this year but fairly sure they have in the past

Even a small gift makes someone feel they are still loved and thought about

My wife DIL and youngest son led a Christmas parade in a golf cart

in town evan local couple dressed as Mr and Mrs clause

they Tossed out candy to the kids

I think My wife got just as much fun as the kids .

Any way taking a few dollars or better yet time to visit means a lot to so many

Thank all of you who do this

bless you Kasey for your efforts also

Columbia County has both a VA-Hospital and a VA-Domiciliary. The domiciliary especially welcomes socks, house shoes, pajamas, personal grooming items and so on. Many of the residents do not have any family nearby to see to their needs.
