I find gun pics taken outdoors look the best. Helps if you have no neighbors.

Daylight is hard to beat for looking over a gunnie and taking pictures
Almost makes me cringe to see beautiful firearms laying on bare rock. I agree the pictures are more dramatic but .......... it's rock, just the act of laying one down or picking it up could scratch it.
Haven't scratched one yet.
