muzzleloading season starts monday, headed out the the cabin for at least half the week, supposed to start raining thursday-till end of week. sitting here now just trying to get up the energy to load the truck up. rifle season just about did me in, just don't have the desire to sit in blind all day, everyday anymore. one of our regulars for the last 30+ years is starting Kemo tomorrow says he will be out wednsday, only gonna be 4 of us this year, we used to have25-30 total and 10-12 on any given day. Hate to say it but this will probubly be my last year, its just not as fun as it used to be and the hills have gotten twice as tall as they used to be......

When i dropped down to the Southern zone from climbing those mountains and chasing whitetails in the North Country my mind was saying "Yes, Yes" but my body was saying "No, No". --------------------------Ray
I understand. I made that decision four years ago. Our original group of six was down to one this year. I miss being in the woods (northern Michigan) and the comraderie, but, such is life.
The fun factor left me a few years ago but I'd force myself to go anyway. This year I didn't. Out of a 13 day season, I only went out 3 days. The most important part was, I didn't feel bad about it. I saw 3 deer and didn't shoot any of them.
