I was wondering how all those people were eating.

I keep reading about the shortage of workers in the U.S. About how a lot of folks have "opted out" of the work force and decided to stay home instead of working. Were they all living with their parents?? I couldn't understand how they were eating or where they were living. Well, I guess this explains it. Man, we are screwed.

"In some states families can earn over six figures annually in unemployment benefits.

Many programs, like the supplemental nutrition assistance program (a k a food stamps), are means tested, so that only low-income people qualify for them. But other handouts are not — including unemployment insurance and ObamaCare subsidies.

The value of these benefits can be staggering — much higher, in fact, than many blue-collar professions. In our new study with the Committee to Unleash Prosperity, we found the following:

  • In 24 states, unemployment benefits and ObamaCare subsidies for a family of four with no one working are the annualized equivalent of at least the national median household.
  • A family making almost a quarter of a million dollars annually still qualifies for ObamaCare subsidies in every state.
  • In a dozen states, the value of unemployment benefits and ObamaCare subsidies exceeds the salary and benefits of the average teacher, construction worker, electrician, firefighter, truck driver, machinist or retail associate.
  • In New Jersey, a family of four can receive benefits equal to an annualized earned income of $108,000 with no one working.
  • In Connecticut and New Jersey, a family earning $300,000 a year can receive ObamaCare subsidies
  • New Jersey is a state where a family can earn the equivalent of $100,000 a year if both parents are collecting unemployment benefits and ObamaCare subsidies for health care. In Connecticut the benefits can reach $80,000.

Dem donors profit It is particularly troubling that these programs, which were purportedly put in place as a safety net for lower-income families, have been expanded to the point that their greatest benefits go to upper-income earners, including households earning half a million dollars in annual incomes in some states.

The Biden administration’s expansion of ObamaCare has been a handout to the wealthy donor class of the Democratic Party, while doing nothing to help those who are truly poor. "

Sounds great but I'm guessing that if I show up at the local welfare office to collect "my" money they will check to see if I got an R or a D by my name, look to see if I'm a gun owner, check to see if I belong to any right wing reactionary groups, like here at the GB forum, then call the cops to escort me out of the welfare office while the welfare office workers are huddled in fear because they are afraid that this old man might be armed!!😂

The folks who wanted to work, DID. The others sponged off welfare and whatever other 'programs' were available. When that ran out, they whined and sponged off local church groups and other local 'give away' sources.

I had one employee who refused to work until his $600/month ran out which put me in a tough spot. After that, I FIRED HIM. He complained to Washington DC but I stood firm and the removal was upheld.

In Illinois the great leader(s) have extended benefits and still drawing them "BECAUSE WE CAN'T PULL THE RUG OUT FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE AFRAID OF GETTING COVID" and can't find suitable work. (2.1/2" years) EVERY place in towns all around have HELP WANTED and paying good money but alas, staying home on the couch getting my money from the Demochaotic fits the narrative.

In my day we use to refer to people that didn’t want to work and pull their own weight as bums. But I imagine in this new world of woke they will come up with a new form of patriotic name.

Maybe they will be called a long term economic covid patriotic fighters.

I blame the makers and voters of the "system" as much as anyone.

Freeloaders just don't mind abusing it.

    And Ricci is "wright"
