I am using an old laptop my kids used in college the little sticker on it says windows 7, well it is on its last leg, it will freeze up and I have to smack the top half from both sides to get it to unfreeze, sometimes..... well because of the current family situation we opened presents this morning and the wife got me a new laptop!! maybe I won't have to wait 30 seconds or more to load a website or a link now. Only thing is I HATE change and it may take a while to figure out how to use it, sometimes I do make mistakes and hit the wrong button. I know how to do most everything I have to on this old one, the things It doesn't do I don't really need to do, gonna have my son get it started before he leaves so I will say it now


HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS, and stay safe just in case I can't figure the new one out for a day or so.....

    @hillbille I'm sure you will come out with several 4 letter names for the up-dated operating system. It will automatically do those things you don't need or want it to do. Merry Christmas !

    Great present hillbille! I really need a new laptop but am scared about the transfer of all my sites and forgotten passwords. Definitely not a computer savvy type. My old laptop has to always be plugged into power along with the hinges that broke off several years ago and now has to be propped open against an old doorstop I bolted to a wooden TV tray. 😁


    Bought my wife a new one about 6 months ago and witnessed her having to basically start over on many of her favored places she likes to go. The worst part is that these new fangled laptops no longer come with disc drives. I just hate that!

    I am so far away from knowing much about computers but manage to stumble luck use enough profanity to get by

    I have also noticed over time if I get lucky enought to buy a new one before I get it home and working it's been outdated at leat thee generations by new and improved lol

    Family got me a new Lenovo laptop for my birthday in April. Still need to order a DVD drive for it .
