Could anyone tell me the dom of a Marlin 16 ga model 1898 w/hammer shotgun serial # 137316 ? Any info is always appreciated. Terrill

My source only says 16 ga. mfg between 1903 and 1910. The Bluebook has a note that Mod 1898's should not be fired because "system failures can and do happen."
