I just acquired a Rossi Triple Black in .357 magnum... what is size of threads on the barrel for a suppressor or other muzzle device?
TIA

Not familiar with this model. 5/8x24 is common for medium caliber rifles but 1/2x36 is sometimes used on 9mm handgun muzzles.
The link above indicates this may be threaded for the typical small caliber 1/2x28 which is surprising.
Thanks
I was afraid of that. it looks small. I'll need an adapter to get to 5/8X24 so it will accommodate the 357 bullets.

Sorry sir, you're confused on several levels. 1/2x28 muzzle devices capable of 'accommodating' .357 bullets are fairly common. No 'adaptor' is required for a simple thread protector.
Your intent is not clear. Do you want to add a suppressor or just protect the threads from damage?
Are you looking to get it threaded? if so go with 5/8 24 tpi. very common.
i need to get it to 5/8X24 so i can use my silencer-co suppressor with the hardware I already have. so i need to adapt from 1/2X28 up to 5/8x24\
Thanks for all of your input!
Please clarify: your rifle has 1/2x28 and your muffler has 5/8x24?
If this is correct, you can easily find an adaptor from 1/2x28 to 5/8x24. I would NOT recommend the el-cheapo ebay choices.
Better go with a name brand adaptor. The YHM is a bit pricy @ $35 on Silencer Shop but you might find something cheaper by shopping around.
Contact your suppressor company for an adaptor.
