Post 64 Model 70 featherweight open sights
I have a New Haven era M70 featherweight (actually a "lightweight") on which I would like to put open sights (it never had any). I have a "featherweight" front ramp that I purchased from Midwest, but I don't have the front bead or the rear sight. I have 2 questions: (1) I think I have seen pictures of this era gun with the rear sight dovetailed into the barrel, but others with a screw-in mount and a flip-up rear sight. Is one or the other more appropriate for this era gun? (2) depending on which rear sight is appropriate, then what is the appropriate height for the front bead? I don't wanna buy a half dozen front beads to learn by trial an error if I can help it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The front sight will (I hope) have a hood when I am done.

I see it's discontinued, but this might be a way to go. If you get close with your front blade, this should do it.
