She's a sweetheart for sure. It will bring top dollar.
Would love to have it as a memory of Mark, but since I'm not an avid WWII collector or a "deep pocket" buyer I will have to pass, good luck on the sell Kacey!
Very nice
Nice.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Beautiful......
Knowing it will do well, it makes me ask myself if I truly need more than one vehicle, or how much I really need two kidneys.....
...if I could skip a couple house payments,,,,
But enough about Kasey.

I see what you did,, lol
That will command top dollar. If I didn't already have three, I would bid. Mark got me to buy my first garand , and I couldn't thank him enough. It wasn't one of his, but I did buy it off Gunbroker. He told me it was an excellent deal. From there on, The addiction to WWII rifles started.
Kasey, on another note, I will be in Alabama , sometime in April for 10 days. I will look you up when I come down. If you are not to busy, maybe you and your husband, would like to go to Breakfast with me and my wife. My treat. Oakie.

I have always considered guns to be an excellent way to remember someone. When I pick up my Marlin-Ballard .32-40, I think of farmer Warren Sweet, a life-long family friend and neighbor who owned it for 65 years until he gave it to my dad in 1955. Warren bought it new in Jan. 1890 for around $20.
So a lot of my older guns came with stories and memories attached. When MC died unexpectedly, I wondered what would become of his extensive gun collection, as he never mentioned any immediate family members who were interested in firearms. He had a sister back in CA whom he had mentioned, so I assume she got all his stuff. I was hoping she would sell on GunBroker any items she did not want. I would like to get one to remember him by, even though I never met or corresponded with him. But, at my age I have to realize that I probably won't own it too long, and it would just be another gun to the next guy.
I'm looking forward to it!
How many folks have it on the watch list @Locust Fork
There are 47 watchers on that one at this time. That is about normal for these.....the other one I have up and running has 48 at this time, its a SUPER CLEAN rack grade Springfield.
Thanks. Was just curious. Sure they will finish well.
Fell short of what I thought it was going to bring. Congrats buyer, you have a real gem.
I honestly wasn't sure where it would end, but bravo for what it did.
