Two nice rifles today.

The first is a Ruger 77V 26" heavy barrel chambered for .220 Swift made back in 1975. The second is a Marlin 39A made in 1956. The serial number is N366, which is the oldest 39A I have seen.

Both look great as shown. Good score, they will do well.
I have a 1953 39A in about that condition, sweet rifles.
The 39A is not a lightweight .22, it has the heft and feel of a larger caliber rifle.
I sold one of those Rugers for $450 about 12 years ago. I still regret that.
Sure hope he don't leave them unsupervised with the hammer, punch, and screwdriver😮
I really want a 220 swift. Nice rifle.
I had one of those Ruger 77 .220 Swift with a Leupold Vari-X 3 6.5-20x scope. It would shoot sub .5" for 5 shots at 100 yards. I wish I still had it.
Those are both icons of their type of firearm. My old neighbor had a 39A he bought in 1946 when he got out of the army, and it was the first lever action .22 I ever shot. It was a substantial rifle, and it just felt more powerful than its cartridge would indicate.
