Hope this helps. You stated BDL to ADL. This video shows ADL to BDL.
I want to convert a BDL to an ADL, not the other way.
I have a long action 700 ADL I want to convert to a BDL. If you're interested maybe we could work out a buy/sell arrangement through the auctions.
Sorry mine is a short action.
It might work with what you have, except you'd need a new trigger guard. The magazine box, spring and follower would go in before you put the action in, and maybe a shorter front action screw. Looking at the diagrams from Midway, it just might work.

Go to your good local gunshop and save you a lot of time and make a trade, IMO only/
Darn!!
BDL to ADL is no big deal.
I see it as a big deal, in that the BDL has a big cut-out on the bottom ahead of the trigger guard, the ADL does not, and would require either a replacement stock, or some wood patch to fill the hole. The spring and follower might be a bit tricky, not sure if they can be easily removed from the BDL's magazine and used as-is. The replacement trigger guard isn't too big a deal. Perhaps you might arrange a trade with someone who wishes to convert the opposite way, ADL to BDL.
ADL stocks are dirt cheap and often include the trigger guard and screws. GEEZ, no one would even consider trying to refit the BDL stock.
