What's the difference between a firearm and a pet?
Apparently my wife doesn't understand and I'm at a loss as to how to explain it to her. With an hour to go, I'm the high bidder at $400.01 on a gun that retails for over $500. She says if I win it she's going to buy a $800 puppy.
The wall-hanger I posted about (I bid on the wrong auction when distracted by strong drink or something) got shipped to the wrong ffl. I had used the gunbroker "find a dealer" but the one I picked isn't currently doing transfers, and I emailed the seller and told him I was having an issue and would delay sending payment until I got a receiving FFL lined up. I sent the correct paperwork with the check but they still shipped to the dealer I picked in the system. They promptly refunded the shipping cost and paid the extra transfer fee, but I have yet to see the rifle. The dealer who got it may be able to do transfers soon or he will ship it to the intended dealer.

Sounds like the puppy is the better deal. Face to face and take it home right then. What kind of puppy yous getting?
A puppy and a new gun? Sounds like a win-win situation, to me.
biggest difference is the firearm won't leave a present in the hallway to step in............
Here, let me help you practice (assuming you want to order another gun someday). Repeat after me:
”Yes, Mam.”
Puppies are cheaper to feed.
Been told a puppy will cost you about 10,000.00 plus by the time it reaches the age of 10 years old.
From February 2020 to Febrary 2022 she spent over $14,000 on critters, and that only counts expenses that have to be critters, the vet, the pet store and so forth, plus whatever she spent at pharmacies, the grocery store, or dollar store.

Congrats! Post pics of the new puppy!
++++ what warbirds said
i am lucky i can have both😍
Nice lookin' Ruger for $400.01. Interesting that you outbid the second highest guy by 1 cent!
$800.00 for a dog. I think the most I ever paid for a dog was $25.00. Man, times and people have changed.
Rescue pets here in my area cost quite a bit more than 25 bucks. Then you must agree and pay to neuter them.
you have to go somewhere besides those korean restraunts Ricci.............
That's just silly. They only serve cats.
Sentience. And the amount of time you can neglect them before there is a serious problem.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Ricci, do you order the "Boo Hoo Dead Kitty"?
My long standing advice is to never go to a chineese restaurant that is adjecent to a vet hospital.
Difference between gun and pet- pets rarely rust.
Here’s the difference:
if you shoot a gun it makes people happy.
if you shoot a pet/puppy…not so much.
Most pet's are not for sale..
