LA County Sheriff Pistol Description

I know little about firearms, just ask many of our members. I just heard on the evening news tonight that concerning the L.A. recent shooting, the Sheriff described it as a "semi automatic, magazine fed, assault pistol". That describes most semi-auto pistols. I can think of maybe an UZI (wish I hadn't sold mine last year in my inventory reduction sale) that may fall into that category. If pistols with that description are grouped with the evil black rifles I guess we would be left mostly with revolvers and Thompson Center.
It's too late for me, save yourself.

Could be anything but my guess a short barrel rifle. AR-15, AK-47 or any number of items.
I hadn't thought of that Butchdog2. I sold those last year also. The AK went for a ton but the AR not so much. Probably because it was configured for 22LR.
Jennings .25
As opposed to a Glock, which is a magazine fed defensive pistol.
I was afraid it may have went full semi automatic.
Based on his description I pictured an AR-15 pistol; short barrel, with or without a brace. Although I would have expected him to mention the brace, if it was present, since it is currently a hot (political) topic. I believe they'll display it sooner or later and then we'll know.
I heard that interview the other day and when he described the weapon It caught my attention. In a woke world the definition is changed to fit their narrative to bring about their agenda.
I had grown use to hearing the term assault rifle over the years, but now you notice everything is called an assault weapon.
I have been accused before of using a wide brush, but people better wake up and smell the roses be cause their using a paint roller.
It was a MAC 10

So he used a California illegal weapon to break the law and murder people. Once again it shows gun laws don't restrict the lawless or insane from committing heinous crimes. You would have to be insane to commit the acts that he did and a coward to commit suicide when your arrest is imminent. Gun laws don't treat the symptoms, instead just act as a feel good panacea for the politicians and voters. The politicians are kind of like the old patent medicine hucksters that provided no real cure but gave you momentary hope that your problem would go away. In the same regard, just one more gun law will fix everything and if it doesn't the one after that will, or maybe the one after that..... Ad Nauseam. Bob
it is the new buzz word the dems are pushig now the war on semi pistols
Anything can be used as an assault weapon. Pulled jury duty a long time ago. Case involved assault with a deadly weapon. Two ole codgers had a dispute, one used a mop handle that had the mop squeezer mounted on it. Guilty as charged.
I had two Mac 10's. Not what I would call a quality piece but they did work (most of the time). One was full auto and sometimes I wish I still had it. Worth too much money when so many thought Hillary would win and cause a big problem. I sold the Mac and a couple of others (AC556 & M16).
