I'm not old - it just takes me twice as long to walk my targets out to the 200 yard mark. And still young enough to laugh when the wind blows them over before I get to shoot.
That door you just kicked in was locked for your protection - not mine.
I'll let you figure this one yourselves--I was born between VE day and VJ day, and before the first bomb at Los Alamos that made every one of you that's younger than me a mutant! That's ok though; I married one of you mutants in '67 and we're still livin' it up!
If yer close to the end of the month when you sign up, wait 'til the new month comes 'round. You'll * quite a few bucks more jest fer waitin' a week or so. A lotta peeple think ya' hafta wait a hole yeer to get a raise, but there broke up into 12 monthly smaller raises. To quote China Joe, "This is no joke, I'm not kiddin'". Eddie Life member VFW & NRA
63 years young. My new bride, (#3 of 5) says she is glad she didn't sleep with me when I was 20. I asked her why with a sly grin on my face and she advised me that she would have been 12 at the time. oh well.
Just turned 80 on same day as Ben Franklin. Born in Norfolk General Hospital when the blackout shades were drawn and German U-boats were on the prowl. -------------------Ray
Took 10 WW1 rifles and pistols out to the range a couple of years ago and put 10+ rounds through each of them. Called it a 10,000 year shoot. I don’t think the ages were additive any more than experience is additive.
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.
My father, Grandfather, and great grandfather, were all born on October 30th. , Mischief night!!!! No wonder they were always in trouble. LOL. My great grandfather died at 106 years old, My grandfather passed when he was 76, and my father is still going strong at 80.
Most of you guys are my fathers age!!! No wonder I respect you all😉 I really do appreciate most of the advice and compliments I get from you gentlemen and Ladies. I enjoy reading about some of your childhoods and the memories. Times were much simpler and everybody respected one another. A mans handshake was worth it's weight in gold, and promises were always kept. You helped your neighbors and friends, without expecting anything in return. I grew up on these values, and tried to raise my son the same way. He has made me proud. I still open the car door for my wife, pull her seat out and call her my bride, even after 40 years of marriage.
In short, I'm truly blessed and humbled, to have met all you guys on here!!! Been a great 23 years on the GB forums, so far. The "Young Guy"Oakie😂
