Anyone here know that in 1940, the process was started for Remington to start producing modified/hybrid 1903 Springfields chambered in .303 British? Neither did I.

Did not know that. Very interesting. I know that a lot of non firearm companies, started making them during WWII. International Harvester, Singer and a few others.
