High powered scopes

As I was watching the latest newser drone on about the latest person whose attack (with guns) was thwarted, I noticed one peculiarity: the focus of the newser on "high powered scopes" as if that is now a thing that should be regulated, because it makes the gun more dangerous.
My guess is the gun grabbers are coming for scopes soon, and it will be illegal in some places to have a scope on your weapon.
These are the times in which we live.
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain

Sadly they will never stop or run out of causes and propaganda
And a endless supply of money
I would also wager a lot of money donated is claimed as administrator fees so no way too get the gravy train to stop
They will use everything they can think of
Well, I guess we better turn the power up and start shooting sooner then huh.....
And at what 'power' does it become a 'high power'???
Or wait til you see the whites of their bloodshot eyes.
You can do this sooner with high powered scopes
just goes to show, you need a big variable scope, like 6x20, then put it on 6 power and use the low power scope..............
You can have my high powered scope when you pry it from my cold dead ocular orbit... Nope. Doesn't work like 'cold dead hands'.
3 volts is needed to properly illuminate the reticle. Anything higher is an assault scope.

Well I guess my Nightforce 15X55 Competition makes my 22LR single shot bench rest rifle into a ultra deadly magnum assault weapon.
My 6-24x scope identifies as a 2.5x, and the .220 Swift it sits on identifies as a .22 Short.😛
As they can not tell the difference between Semi-Auto and full Auto, Magazines Vs "Clips" etc. I imagine any scope that holds more than ten rounds will be considered HIGH POWERED 😜
Or if it is attached to a firearm they do not like, that too will make it HIGH POWERED !!
Yikes my 6 x 284 with a boosted Leupold to 25 x 50, I surely would be a felon.
But maybe not as the scope identifies as a 6.5 x 25
I'm going to put Dewalt and Makita stickers on all of my scopes so they will be looked upon as just being TOOLS! 😁
Like sand through an hour glass, one grain at a time.............
Even though I can see in total darkness 2000 yards away, does that make my scope more deadly?
I've always asked my shooting friends. Which is more dangerous; my AR-15 with a high capacity mag or my bolt action .223 with a scope. 5 shots each at 100yds. At least you can see the guy with the AR-15. Correction - the half dollar is a 3 shot group.
That door you just kicked in was locked for your protection - not mine.
Those are some expensive targets.

We play a game where you have to put all five shoots on the quarter at a 100 yds and we measure the tightest group of the 3 out of 5 holes.
When I take new shooter out and let them shoot one of my precision rifles at a quarter a football field away, they get pretty excited. I like to give them the quarter, even if they only hit it once, as a cool souvenir.

Jed Clampet and Jethor could strike matches at a pretty good distance with open sights.
I have few scoped rifles that can do it all day but the fellow on the trigger, not so much.
Butch, you mean "the jerk on the trigger" dontcha?
Yep, give RR a promote☺️
OMG!!! What do you people NEED with a SNIPER rifle?????
(and yes, that will be the next claim from the Karens....)
Who hasn't been on a snipe hunt??
Me, but I know how to "snipe " hunt.
Ever see stars up a coat sleeve in the middle of the day?
In a close-quarters shooting situation, the last thing I want on my weapon is a scope.
What is the first thing? Don
The last thing I want is to be in a close-quarters shooting situation

Scopes and magazines were removed from ITAR law during the Trump administration
Meaning they can be imported and exported without being classified as military weaponry.
That will be a difficult hurdle to overcome for the libs.
A good high powered scope should help with that.

I would put that a lot closer to the top of my list.

Gary, You went to night school too????🤣
They do hunt snipe here. Snipe are fast and is hard to hit and it makes for a good hunt. In Georgia, the season starts November 15 and runs through February 8. Don
We had a member that built Worls Klas rifles that could do that all day.

Just the rats nibbling at a different spot on the donut
Ennybuddy remember the Weird looking Boone Scope?
They ran us through a snipe hunt one night in Army basic training but nobody saw one (it was dark).
