Would like to dismantle the barrel off a Stevens Lever Single Shot Model 101 in 44-Shot.
Have removed the large barrel screw and forearm. Looks like barrel is reset in a larger part and not sure how to remove. Gun is 1915-20s old so has probably been there that long. Is there a simple method/trick to jar it out of the sleeve part? Don't want to chance in any way to damage it. Hoping to pack it in a smaller package for shipment. Thanks.

It seems your barrel is stuck in the sleeve, as it should just pull out. You would have to get a hardwood dowel and round it to fit the barrel and cut a slot for the extractor, and tap it out of the sleeve. If you damage anything beyond repair there are parts for your gun over on flea-bay, even a barrel and a sleeve is listed. much luck to you.

You guys nailed it. Lots of patience, Kroil, hair dryer, and wood block. Guessing that barrel has been there 100+ years.
All went well and able to package it better for shipping. Thanks.
