My half brother was struck by a car Sunday evening

Travis was 18 years older than me from my dad's first marriage. He was leaving a place that fed old folks on Sunday nights. A car hit him as he was walking across the street to his car. They did CPR and got him to the hospital but he died of his injuries. It was raining heavily and he probably was wearing dark clothing.
He was a Korean War Era veteran, serving in Germany. He had several children, and step children who all adored him. He still liked the ladies.
We weren't close, but I saw him once a year at a family get-together.
Rest in peace, brother.

Wish there was something I could say to take the pain away, but I know there's not. I'm sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear of his passing.
That door you just kicked in was locked for your protection - not mine.
Sorry for your tremendous loss.
He sounds like a wonderful person. Like me and all my dead relatives, you will still have the memories to cherish.
