Failed Email Question

cbxjeffcbxjeff Member Posts: 17,599 ✭✭✭✭

I'm trying to email some pictures and they are not delivered. I thought it was odd that I didn't get a "failure to deliver" message but never the less I thought it might be the file size. I emailed a simple hello and received a message "unable to deliver" & "recipient rejected". The address has been verified and no guys these are not porno pictures! Normally I would ask her to check her spam or junk file but not with this return message. Any thoughts? Oh, I should say that I successfully emailed these car pictures to my son just to be sure that they are being sent.

Sounds like they made it as far as her server, and they rejected it for whatever reason.

In the email bounce message you received it must contain a SMTP error code - will say "SMTP ERROR" and have a series of number that follow. If you can post that error message I can tell you what's wrong.

That door you just kicked in was locked for your protection - not mine.

Thanks for the replies guys. I don't know what the problem was but it was on her end. I had her email a message then I could reply to it. That worked even though it came from the same email address that I tried to initially contact. Pictures are sent. Maybe the feds have me on a no email list on her provider. I'm glad this is over.

That is similar to what I get at home. I have DSL with wifi. I can send pictures to another Iphone or computer but can not send pictures to an android phone. I have triple checked all the settings and it works fine when in cell tower range but over DSL/WIFI they will not go.
