Bought Gas Today

Rocky RaabRocky Raab Member Posts: 14,493 ✭✭✭✭

Had half a tank and filled up. So what? Well, it was only the second half tank I've purchased since November 1.

There are some bright points to being half crippled and house-bound, I guess. Don't get to drive much.

I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

Lucky you. I 'm buying a couple tanks per week. Running 100-200 miles 3-4 days each week will do that.

All I managed was to crawl in and drive it for 20 minutes or so once a week just to keep the battery charged. I could drive, but getting in and out were hard, and no walking anywhere. That's improving some. I can now hobble into a store if I need to. It just tires me out.

Gas is going up here even though the price of oil has gone down a lot.

Last time I put gas in the Suburban was 5.29 and the only reason I'm using it at all it it would be to hard on my mom in the Ford Focus 2 door.

Rocky, things will improve. Give it a few more months. I think my total recovery time was 11 months, enough to work. Took about 18 months to be pain free. Remember, they cut away a lot of muscle tissue to do the back surgery. Since we use those muscles all the time, it takes longer to heal. Sounds like you got a pretty good start. Oakie
