Loki tore the dog equivalent of his ACL a couple weeks ago so he's going in for a TPLO surgery in the morning.
Here's the basics of what goes on...
If you could spare a prayer for a dog I'd sure appreciate it.

Hope he’s pestering you for a treat in no time.
Prayers sent. Been through this twice with good results. Most important part was keeping him off the affected limb as long as possible. We spent 4+ weeks carrying him down the steps to go to the bathroom...huge hassle but worth it to see him running full speed chasing squirrels again.
Prayers from here for your Loki. May he be up and about soon. ------------------Ray

Thoughts of healing for Loki sent from Texas.
Well, he came through surgery alright and the doc said everything went well. Thanks again for all the prayers and well wishes, folks! They had to take out a bit of torn miniscus along with the TPLO but the doc was confident that it wouldn't create any issues. We get to pick him up about 3:30 this afternoon and start babying him 'till he's healed up.
Whew!
He's half black lab and half golden retriever. Looks like a black lab.
Good news. Give him a treat for me.
good to hear
So glad to hear things went well.
