These just came in and I had to tell the owner that these old calibers just wouldn't work anymore. One is 7x57 Mauser, and then a .257 Bob, and the last one is a 6.5x55 Swede. So Sad!!

Begrudgingly, I will dispose of them for you.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Ricci! You ole Devil YOU!!
Yupp... pretty much useless. I've got all three calibers covered and heavens knows I don't own any practical guns. 😀 Bob
I once owned on of the model 70 Fwt's in 6.5x55, really regret selling it.
Which is the last one?
I'll be in on the Swede
The last rifle on the bottom is a Winchester 70 FW in 6.5x55.
They're still good calibers that will not go away. They've all proven themselves and that you don't need some fancy, new whatever that will go 50 fps faster.
I'll help Mr. P "dispose"of them. Wouldn't want him to be saddled with all that work......
Just gave one of those to a buddy ,,,,,,,, .275 Rigby (I’m English) 😎

That Swede is sweet, that is a great and relatively easy (on recoil) rifle to shoot
The 7x57mm is an excellent cartridge and will kill any big game in the North American continent. I believe it was Jack O’ Conners wife that used a 7x57mm and took a lot of game in Africa using that cartridge. I have read articles of professional game hunters in Africa using a 7x57mm that have taken elephant with a well placed shot. However I will say that there are a lot better cartridges suited for taking an animal that size.
I'll help as well ❤️❤️

Only if you are buying Ricci, when you are selling they will be made of gold😈
Whoa,,,😮😮😮
Post a link when you get them set up on the auction side.
In the early 1900s WDM Bell killed more than 1000 elephants by the brain shot, most with the 7x57 Mauser, using standard military issue steel jacketed RN ammo. He didn't miss too much. Would have switched to 6.5 Mannlicher but the ammo was prone to season cracking in the jungle environment. His books are a great read.
I have, and the transactions have been outstanding. That's why I feel free to go all Eddie Haskell on him. 😄
Will any of these clunkers chamber the 20mm shell from the GAW thread?
