She's doing good. We haven't been hunting since we bought the house, like 9 yrs now. The buying and moving into the house was a lot and having her parents move in with us.

Then her mom got lung cancer. Did the home care, then in facility hospice. Then her dad was back in an apartment, broke his hip and went from hospital to facility care. We did a remodel in the master bath with intent to bring him back to our house. Covid hit, and he never got to see the remodel or come out of facility care. While in facility he fell and broke the other hip. They then put him on comfort care, never fixed the broken hip, kept him shot up with morphine until one morning they hit the lethal dose and he was gone. 9yrs is a long time. It went by both fast and very slow at the same time. It was hard.

Now, I don't think either of us could walk or stay on our feet long enough to hunt. We sure miss it. Hoping to get back out to the shooting range this year, at least. Got that Ruger AR that only has like five rounds through it. Gotta take care of that issue.

So glad your doing fine. You and Joe are good people. Sorry to hear all that you two went through. I know my turn is coming with my parents. We went through it with Donna's father, and watching him go with dementia, was the worse.

I don't hunt much anymore myself. Haven't been to the gun range in over a year, but go down there to cut the grass and do maintenance. Between my bad heart and bad back, I just don't have the desire to go out in the cold, to harvest a deer. If I really want one, I just call the local farmer, and he drops one in my back yard.

Thanks for checking in Denise. God Bless, Oakie
