Webley Mark V revolver

BobbyJ49BobbyJ49 Member Posts: 1

Found what is claimed to be a Canadian military issue Webley Mark V revolver and haven't been able to find any information about such an issue. Even has the marking when it was taken out of inventory. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I copied this from an add.

"SN140658 is a Canadian issue Webley MK5, 455 caliber revovler. The right side of the frame shows the C broad arrow mark. The revolver was built in 1914 and may have been one of the realatively few Webley MKV revolvers that were acquired by Canada during the 1st war. See page 37-39 "Canadian Military Handguns " Clive Law. These were issued to army units serving with British formations. R.C.H.A. and separately to the RCN. This example was cleaned at some time but is all matching with a bright very good 455 caliber bore. This Webley came in a 1941 dated RCAF holster from WW2"
