IMI Timber Wolf 44 magnum

I am looking for someone who owns a Timber Wolf in 44 Magnum. I have one (NOT FOR SALE ! ) and never have shot it yet. One thing I noticed is, the rifle will eject an empty shell casing clear of the receiver. When trying to eject a live round from the chamber, it does not clear the receiver. I have have tried various bullet loads and lengths, including loaded 44 specials, and the round just lays up in the receiver. The extractor does grip the live rounds. I don't know if the rifle was designed this way, so the the live round doesn't eject to the ground or what. If you own this rifle, can you advise if this common. Maybe if somebody with the 357 model has the same issue, please let me know. Thank you.

Wow!! I have never seen a .44. I have seen a few .357 but never a .44. You might give Springfield Armory a call. I believe they imported some of these guns. 1.800.680.6866 Good luck.
Ejection port is to small for a loaded round to clear easily
Some articles I have read say only 500 was imported in the country, some others say only 1000 was imported into the country.
I had the same issue with GI-spec 1911 Government Models. Ejection port was big enough to clear an empty, but not a loaded cartridge. The ejection port on the Commander and more modern Government Models is larger and will allow ejection of a loaded round.
I had one. Never had any issues
Does it only do that with 44 cases? Have you tried it with a pair of .22's?
(Sorry, chores are done and I got bored!)
Always wanted the 357 mag version when I was younger. These days my 357 mag Rossi 92 fills that want.
