So I found a beautiful rifle in the penny auctions.... I placed a bid several times but only to be out bid... I looked at the bid history and only 2 others were bidding and but it seems like it was a long time ago? Please enlighten me of how this works.

until you over come their max bid it will just keep increasing above your bid to the next bid accepted by the auction
example if they put a 100.00 start bid every time you bid say 10.00 more unless you jump over their top bid it will just keep showing you out bid ,
like the example you get past the 100.00 bid they placed originally. and you will become leader.
it will just step up the bid each time any one bids until they go past what the top bid the buyer put it to start with
if you put in 200.00 it will just keep you in lead even if some one bids just above the show winning bid until some one bids over the 200.00 of your top bid
"Long time ago" they can run 14 days an auction. So keep plugging until you reach "winner" status.

Bid once at your maximum and then forget about it til it's time to pay.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Thank you.... I think I'm out lol
I have to think about shipping, FFL transfer fee and the Commiforina back ground check fee. That's 150.00 right there 😓

We all have our limits. It's nice knowing what our limit is. Saves trouble. The next one will be yours. Good luck.
Shipping has killed so many deals for me especially small parts shipping in is just crazy high
