Brings back a lot of old memories from when I was a kid
I have to add when I hear that song now I also think of the movie blues brothers when they at the country bar lol
I still enjoy watching Raw Hide reruns every Saturday late afternoons on METV. The old cast of that show were well chosen for their parts as cow punchers, chuck wagon cooks, and trail bosses!
Something about the show I failed to remember from seeing it back when it was on the air originally, is the relationship between Rowdy Yates and Gil Favor. It truly was not a best friends working together thing!! "Yes, MR. Favor, no MR. Favor"
As kids, we used to play Raw Hide out in the back woods of home. Used to argue about who got to be Gil and who got to be Rowdy. Kind of funny! I kind of grew up to become Wishbone in real life! 😁
A few years ago I looked into the history of actor Eric Fleming.
It was an interesting read........but also sad, in that he drowned while filming a movie's river scene in South America.
Sad.......that he died way too young.
The TV show? I watch re-runs 4-5 times a week. Don't see any trannies, cross dressers, or 'other' disgusting versions of humanity(?).
bet if they did, they would just shoot em..........
Sheb Wooly that played on Raw Hide sang and I think wrote the hit "Purple People Eater" too 😀, I really liked that one.
"Never do wrong to make a friend----or to keep one".....Robert E. Lee
Oh hang 'em high...
I can watch reruns of Rawhide, Gunsmoke, Tales Of Wells Fargo and Cheyenne all the time., and Wagon Train.
I prefer the fishing version.....
Trolling, trolling, trolling, in my boat and rowing !
Keep the lures going......Walleye !! 🙃
That's great, I like that.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
