As some are likely aware, the director of the ATF has been giving sworn testimony in front of Congress as they probe him about the new pistol brace rule. The sworn testimony suggested that merely detaching your brace from your weapon would be in compliance. The sworn statements run counter to published materials about compliance from the ATF. This video breaks down what's transpired and a letter congress has written asking for written and public statement clarification:
