My mothers day......daughter brought her boyfriend and his car...mother in law took off in it!

It was a fun day. I went to a friends house to watch their kids and grandkids swim in the pool. My brother has a new green egg he has been testing out....so he brought some smoked goodies over. My middle child has a boyfriend that likes to flip old cars. He has a few "toys"....the most recent aquisition is a 47 Ford that was in the Dolly Parton museum. Supposedly she picked out the color and seat covers in it.
They picked me up and we rode over to my sister in laws house where some of my husbands side were all gathered. We pull up......they come out and are checking it out when my mother in law got in and started it up! I look over at my sister in law and asked "are you terrified, because I'm terrified."
The boyfriend jumps in the back seat and my daugher starts jogging around to the other side in the back. My sister in law says "GET IN KASEY!" I know she saw the look on my face as we pulled off and probably laughed uncontrollably as we pulled away.
She did GREAT! She took it easy and her face was beaming the whole time. She did pull out in front of someone on the highway and made them follow her going 30 until we got back to our road....but they probably needed to slow down anyway....right??? She was so happy. She said it was like walking down memory lane.
The thing that scared me was mostly because she doesn't drive anymore and I had no clue what this thing was like to drive. It sounded like a hot rod.
It was a wonderful day!

I truly have a fondness of old cars and that one sure looks nice .really like the color
My 1st official girlfriend (per her Lol)
i had just turned 16 she was 19
But she had a old Ford like that but it was a dark burgundy color .
Her dad bought it for her and had it restored for her 16th birthday at her request She wanted a old canr not a newer one .
So the photo of the car brings back a lot of memories .
