It is very wet in Wisc. My tree farm is as wet as it has been in 30 years.
We have the odd mix of record flooding due to snowmelt (roads washed out, homes evacuated, etc) and needed rain. I have secondary water for lawn watering, but it's out due to flooding breaking the lines, so in the midst of flood, my lawn is bone dry.
Had a little thunderboomer last night at 2:30 a.m. that dropped .04" for some help. Chance of some more tonight.
We have gone from above normal precipitation to me wishing it would rain. Raised a lot of dust mowing today. Our tenant planted the field yesterday so we could use some moisture.
I mentioned in an earlier post that I needed to treat the pond for algae/weeds that are a product of last years drought. The pond was 18+ inches low last fall and that made more shallows for the stuff to grow. Pond depth is back to normal and finally the water warmed over the 60° necessary for the chemicals to work. Got the sprayer out to put in the boat and discovered the sprayer battery is dead. Nobody locally has one so I had to order it and it should be here Saturday. With my luck that is when the rain will start back up, preventing me from getting the pond treated. It seems like all of my outside work this year has been a case of hurry up and wait. Bob
We are in north east Florida and the rain has successfully avoided us some how it has rained all around us but that will change very soon I'm sure ........................... it's Florida ya know.
Had some showers, mostly sunny, been into upper 70's. Everything is greening and budding out. So pretty.
Dry here in CT , high fire danger
We got about a tenth of an inch or rain last night but also got some pretty vigorous lightning with it. Our little valley is pretty smoky this morning. Sure hope it has blown in from elsewhere and not a bunch of local fire starts.
Pretty wet here in SW Arkansas. I managed to get the lawn mowed yesterday. Today, I'm on a liquid diet preparing for a colonoscopy tomorrow morning. Not in the mood for yard work today.
Somewhat dry in Western Virginia. Had a bad storm come through yesterday. It took out my internet, wind took down some trees and a lightning strike took out my fence charger. Just got the internet fixed and looks like it rained a half inch.
4 tenths of an inch last nite in my neck of the woods .(eastern nc) Need more.
It's been a very wet spring here in west central Ohio. Also every Friday for several months it's been raining w/severe storms. Everything is very green here.
Then this morning I woke up and the furnace was running. I looked at the temperature and it was 38° .

We just had 8 days of rain. The past few days have been windy and rather cool for this time of year. Last night it was 37 here in the pine barrens. I had frost on my windshield this morning. Usually by now, we are in the 70's and 80's, but have been stuck in the 60's. Not complaining cause, that long hot summer and humidity are coming quick. UGH
We got our weekly Friday rain yesterday. All 1.34" of it. They were calling for .03"

Dry and cool so far in VA.
Things here have been very dry, with fire dangers posted for the past week or so. Yesterday we had just a mist of rain and then today just very light sprinkles that are still ongoing since early this morning. It is also quite cold here with daytime temps just hitting 45 degrees. Pretty typical for May in northern lower Michigan. Frost warnings twice this week too!
Soil conditions are drier than normal. We have 5" tall soybeans growing on swampy land we normally don't even get planted until mid to late June. Finished planting the upland/hill ground this afternoon. Dirt is working great. Most waterways aren't too mushy. A 1/2-1" rain would be appreciated.
