Just got these this afternoon, a pre 64 Winchester model 70 and a Springfield 03. They have both been restocked and tomorrow I am going to do a sweet tactical pattern camo pain job.

Sounds like it is gonna hurt. Don
Just make sure you run some real coarse sandpaper over the stocks first. That gives the camo paint something to stick to. 😮 Bob
A couple nice ones there.
Make sure to do the leaf stencils!
I just now figured out the model 70 was re-barreled and re- stocked by a gunsmith by the name of Judson Darrow who worked out of Waterbury, Ct. Apparently, he was a highly respected smith.
I no longer have the leaf stencils. Ken borrowed them to make his targets.
I also have an old CZ 527 .22 Hornet that he re-stocked as well. I will photograph that one later.
What are the chamberings? I'd camo those ugly things up too!
The 70 is .222 Rem. and the 03 is .30-06.
Cammo 'duck' tape is quick and easy
I'd have to agree with you

Ricci, I'll trade a kidney and/or a testicle for the .222.
Don't lowball me. I know what I got.
🤣
I can save you a whole lot of work there Ricci. Just send those 2 undesirable rifles to me. Out of the goodness of my heart I'll even cover the shipping charges! 😁
why???? I would love that 222. Before you ruin them with a camo paint, or pain job, lol, put the 222 up for sale.
Fish on!
Once you get done with the camo screw some rails on the bottom and sides so you can mount flashlights and bipods.
