Shooting stance.

I cannot shoot a handgun accurately, with two hands. After shooting in the pistol league for thirty years, I can only shoot accurately with one hand. In the league, we are only allowed to shoot with one hand. If you use the two handed method, yo are automatically disqualified. Even when hunting with my larger magnum revolvers, I shoot one handed.
Does anyone else use this method when target shooting or hunting??? I also find myself, while hunting, placing my feet at a 30 degree angle from my target, Deer, squirrels, ect. It becomes almost like a natural stance for me. I just hope if I ever get into a gun fight, The target will let me get set in my stance, before shooting.......LOL🤣

the older you get, the more you will need that second hand to steady the shakes, enjoy it while you can Oakie...........
I use two hands on all the big boys.
You should go shoot an IDPA or USPSA style match sometime. You'll get a lot of help from the regulars and they'll be able to help get your proper grip and stance squared away. It's a completely different style of shooting than your target leagues.
In reality, whatever works for you. Two hands helps hold a heavy handgun when hunting. I agree that two handed shooting does not give you any greater accuracy if you shoot correctly - align the sights, mash the trigger.
I practice two hands, one hand, and off hand.

Any more I just hold the pistol in my teeth.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
I guess that is less painful, than holding it with your testicles!!!
gotta say you two are both tougher men than me, I use both hands and still close my eyes........
You can do a drive by on a herd of deer. Just don't forget your ski mask and jeans around your knees. LOL
