"LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Hollywood should portray safer use of guns in television and film at a time of rampant gun violence in the United States, USC Annenberg’s Norman Lear Center for Hollywood, Health and Society said in a report released on Tuesday."
"The report was developed with support from the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, which after the mass shooting of children and teachers in Uvalde, Texas, a year ago, wrote an open letter committing to gun safety onscreen. More than 300 directors, producers and writers signed that letter."

Hollywood is very two-faced. They are nearly all very anti-gun yet it seems like every movie and video is full of scenes with people being killed with guns. I wonder how many Holywood-depicted killings have some of the mass killers seen?
I also think M Rated video games should stop falling into the hands of minors...

Rust is in the can, they finished filming last week. Hopefully Alec isn't planning a sequel.
Ages ago, heavy metal music was deemed responsible for violence amongst kids. 40 years later, I still love metal and am yet to take any anger out on anyone.
Now it’s Hollywood’s portrayal of guns. Well, I love Dirty Harry, Tombstone, Pulp Fiction, etc. Guns everywhere and people getting shot and collateral damage and limited repercussions. And yet, I’ve never considered pulling a gun in anger or making a threat of violence with a firearm.
Why? Because I know the difference between right and wrong and value life especially my own and the lives of my family and loved ones and friends.
Hollywood is not to blame for violence. Treating criminals as victims and being soft on crime is to blame.

What we really need is for people to pay less attention to, and put less importance on things that Hollywood does. It has so little redeeming value any more (not that it ever had much to begin with).
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
I have long suggested that gun banning start with Hollywood and video games. Not because I think it would make a difference, but just to hear them squeal in agony about their Constitutional rights.
Safer does not sell movies!
I and I will gues many of you grew up playing army or cowboys and Indians cops robbets or similar
Lot of gun action and caps shot when we could afford them most it was just BANG BANG got you and respond uhuh or some dramatic death scene lol
Countless westerns and military movies and shows millions of kids watched and played every week . Its a wonder we even have any one left .
Today their is something missing Like respect for life or a big one I think is I want it now no matter what I need to do get it instant gratification. as kids we were more just a dream or wish or want to have and work for it
we knew right from wrong and respected it Realized we could not just get any thing we wanted and learned to deal with it
As for Hollywood way too much money made off violence and killing just for the sake of doing it
No way they are going to back away from their money cow by not having violence and countless special effect shootings and car chase any thing to pump up the audience
sad part too many want to act out the movies in life they have no feelings about right or wrong and so many in the cities are raised by Gangs not by parents violence killing robbing is just a way of life
Our country is so down the toilet
