Arm Brace Enforcement ?

I believe the commentators are not correct when they proclaim “ the BATFE just made 14 million felons overnight” No!

To be a Felon an individual must be arrested, charged, tried and convicted. By a judge, in a court. Currently there are millions of potential felons who face 10 years in club fed and $10,000 fines.

What is BATFE going to do in the face of this civil disobedience?

I assume nothing. My question is what historical examples of actual prosecutions of violations of the NFA exist. In other words, how many times has this law been used and what was the outcome of each case? I’m sure someone with access to federal court databases could compile a list. It can’t be very long.

Most firearms violations have a linkage to drug activity or felon in possession.

The NFA is unknown outside a small segment of the gun owning population.  How many understand the implication of the ease of changing uppers and lowers in AR pattern rifles. What regulations address the presence of mixable components in any given example. They said it themselves “ install a longer barrel on the firearm” OK, just swap uppers.  Wait and see how the courts rule, or they actually charge an individual for possessing one.

There was a BATFE information booth set up at the Indianapolis 1500 gun show last Friday. Really, they sent a couple twenty somethings to interact with the citizenry. These are Industry Operations Inspectors, not enforcement branch. They are guys that check the books of FFL dealers. All they can do is is hand out ATF publications and look stupid.  It is normal PR at this large show.

They packed up Friday night and told the guy nest to them that it was optional duty and they opted out of returning.

    My guess

The first group who get caught up in some arrest and they find a arm brace as a secondary issue or turn it into the main case to get it to stick

They will do their best to make examples out of them to scare others

I keep hoping the SCOTUS Will finely step in and slap the BATF big time for overreacing their authority and while at it deem all the laws illegal

    shall not be infringed

means just that no permission no permits no restrictions
