Stupid question.....Is this a No 1 or a No 3?

On my invoice I have No 3....so we listed this as such. I've got an email saying that this is incorrect and it is a No 1. The scope bases are covering the model. Anyone here know for sure so I can fix this if I need to?

It is a No.1. No 3 has a forearm band and different butt plate. I have the No 1 in a 270 Weatherby and it is a nice rifle, like it a lot. A No 3 in 30-40 Krag would be a nice rifle.
I thought the Number 3 had no checkering.
I own a couple of #1's and that is for sure just like them. The #3, as stated above, has a plain stock, carbine butt plate and different operating lever. The lever is the telling characteristic regardless of the stock. Bob
Definitely a No. 1. The lever is totally different as is the stock from my No. 3.
List it as Bill Ruger's personal #4. VERY RARE!!!!

It's probably a No. 1-V. The B had a 26 inch barrel, and the V had a heavy 24 inch barrel.

I had one like it in .25-06. it hated factory loads, but, with the correct handloads, it would group around .5 moa. I loved that rifle. Wish I still had it.
