With a headlamp on I see the reflection of the yard critters the racoons ,cats ,opossums, skunks, rats and so on when walking around the yard at night stretching my legs amd back out
Tonight about 2.00 am I was walking and came around the pole barn and seen a set of eyes reflecting back at me but these were about 4 feet off the ground and looking back at me about 20 yards away
For a second I was caught off guard then realized it a young buck
Not a news worthy event but out of the normal and a nice suprize to see it

LOL, yep I can see where that'd be out of the norm and startle one pretty good.
Better a buck than a bear!
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
I heard something pull one of the wifes birdfeeders off the porch about 10 oclock one night. I shined a flashlight through the kitchen window and there was about a 400 pound black bear with bird seed all over his face.I think its the same old bear that comes through about twice a year.He pulls our bird feeders down, goes to the neighbors place ,turns over the trash cans and takes a huge dump in his driveway.
We have Racoons around the yard. Lately I have found two separate places on the property where a creature has repeatedly taken a dump. there is more than one size of scat in these places. I don't know enough about Racoons to know if this is a thing Racoons do.
Racoons come by and eat the Cat food that is left outside.
