Signed up to do the 5k for St. Judes in December so it's time to get back into shape. Round is not a good shape for the 5k.
Since it was late evening I decided a walk through the field would be nice. Max the cat, Shiggles, Chief, Cookie and Muffin all decided to join me.
It's been so dry here we only got 21 bales of hay on this first cutting. Hopefully we'll get some rain between now and August so it will start growing again.
Came across one dead armadillo. That's two in the last two weeks. Puppers are doing fine work keeping the nuisance critters at bay.

Nice pictures, and good for you & St. Jude's.
So nice to see you posting pictures again. Your place looks so nice. Marvelous thing you're doing for St. Judes, thank you.
Good to see the pics and hear from you @susie, how many acres of hay are you cutting? I consider it a pretty good harvest when I can get 21 round bales on my small place from a single cutting. By the way your first pic looks a lot like my middle pasture, I felt like de-ja vu looking at it.
Congrats on the effort of getting/ staying in shape and thanks for the photos
Some years ago I decided I had the body of a God
Sad part its Buda lol
I'm glad Shiggles is having a good time. I like cats.
Nothing like going for a walk, always something to see. Most of my walking is done in the river bottom, so it changes from season to season. Winter usually more Eagles and can see long ways, summer weeds that flower, and other things to enjoy. Years ago I had a cat that would follow me around squirrel hunting. It was about a 1 1/2 mile circle if I cut the the corn field. Thar cat was catching grasshoppers and eating them like they were candy. Mostly it was waiting for a what was left of the squirrel I would skin.
