Just another liberal gas bag venting.
I saw that yesterday. If they got a mortgage on the new house, how did they qualify for it with that much outstanding debt? If they paid cash for the house, then they certainly had enough to pay off the debt and get a mortgage instead.
She seems to be similar to the folks that make minimum credit card payments and then don't understand why their balance owed never goes down and actually increases. Perhaps somewhere in her college education she should have taken personal finance 101. Bob
I was drafted and after I had served there was $10,000 available to help with my education. I’m not sure what they offer now for education by enlisting today. Anyway she is just another deadbeat wanting someone else to pay her way because she thinks the world owes her a living.
Just another elite narcissist who thinks the purpose of government is to give handouts. There are many like her and most all vote DEMOCRAT.
I am sure many of those here on the Forum paid their dues. Was not going to but will toot my horn a little.
Worked 40 hour week with some overtime on my day job. Hurried home at 4:30 pm and ate my supper. At 6:30 started a three hour shift at a machine shop about 15 minutes from my in-laws house. My wife and I were living in their attic to save some money.
When i returned home from the machine shop my dear wife went to work at the telephone company as a operator on the graveyard shift that ended at 2AM in the morning. Later on she was a career employee at West Point and became the deans secretary. On Saturday I was taking a course in machine design. On Sunday i worked 12 hours at a garage pumping gas and changing belts and hoses when time allowed. I was so sick from breathing all those gas fumes and working in bad weather, it took me until Wednesday to recover.
Somehow my sweetheart and i survived. We bought a little house, added on to it and remodeled it ourselves and borrowed some money to put my son and daughter through college. My daughter was in PT and my son was a ME near top of his class at WVA University.
We were living the American Dream and somehow in a few years we got those educational loans paid off.
Senator Biaggi you will get no sympathy from me.-------------------------Ray
Tough luck lady, if you can afford a million dollar plus home you can afford to pay off your student debt! Whenever I assumed a financial obligation, I was expected to pay it off within the agreed time frame. End of story!
I have no sympathy. I joined the Navy at 17 to avoid the draft. When I got out I went to college and even with GI benefits I did have to borrow some as wife’s income as a teacher just did not cover everything.
I paid back every penny and so should everyone today.
