My Wife Says These Gloves are Done - No Way - UPDATE

My wife caught a glimpse of these gloves and was horrified, "Go buy new gloves today" she says. "What's wrong" I say. Just some Gorilla tape and I keep going, don't have time, everybody's gloves look like this, right? Can anybody back me up on this? If I threw gloves away every time they rubbed a hole, I'd have to buy them…
