Yeah, yeah, I planned that.....

I've got to start making a grocery list! Tonight was supposed to be beef stir fry and I bought most of the fixin's last Sat on my weekly grocery run. Forgot the dang teriyaki marinade. So I figured I'd make steak Diane instead - no Worcestershire sauce. Hmmm.... Beef, peppers, onions, mushrooms and I found a partial bottle of K.C. Masterpiece steak marinade, guess I'll make some kabobs. Judy said dinner was really good and was glad I made them. I'll never tell her that dinner wasn't even close to what was planned.

And yeah, I've started the grocery list. Now if I can just remember to take it with me.😀 Bob

Even when I make and take a list to the grocery store, I always seem to manage to forget something needed!

The cart also usually ends up containing a whole lot more stuff than what was on the list as well!

Just yesterday I did a quick trip to Meijers for fresh vegetables and some beer. Always using the available full service checkout with a live cashier. Got home and looking at the receipt, it seems I paid close to 8 dollars for a head of cabbage. The cashier mistook it for 2 1\2 pounds of leaf lettuce!! 😲

Hopefully when you do make it to the store you remember to some wear pants.

The last step will be remembering where the store is.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Just a thought Bob, if you had any soy sauce and brown sugar on hand you could of used that with possibly some red chili flakes and garlic powder and still done your original stir fry, I rarely worry about teriyaki sauce if I have those items on hand...

You were able to improvise under pressure. You’re hired, when can you start. Lol

@Ruger4me that is actually a darn fine thought but I was in a hurry and not smart enough to think about about ingredient substitutions. I guess I have become to dependent on those bottled sauces. I've got a half a thick flank steak left that I didn't cook and plenty of veggies so maybe I'll use your suggestion later on this week. I'll do most anything to avoid an extra trip to the grocery store as that is about my least favorite chore. Bob

I have some and I still can't find them half the time. Might as well go barefoot.

I don’t ever use a recipe, I just wing it, best thing my dad taught me

I eat whatever Donna cooks, even if I don't like it, just so I don't have to wear it😉. I'm actually a great cook. My grandfather was the head chef at Resorts international in AC. My dad can't even boil water, and we all said, if mom dies first, dad will eat cereal the rest of his life!!!!!!!!
