YES .......... but at great risk.
Not a tube magizine on that, you’ll be fine.
Any of the new Polymer Flex Tip Bullets work fine in a tube magazine.
Sure, it's the tube mag that can get you in trouble. Really nice furniture for it's age. I wish I wasn't broke!
No problem in a box mag. I modified my 340 to free-float the barrel & after a fair amount of experimenting with loads, most were close to minute-of angle. With the tubular mag guns I use 180 gr. RN and they shoot a little better than that. Of course the LeverEvolution rounds are pointy but plastic tipped and a little light for my hunting preference. Nice gun -
Killed my first deer with one of those.
Any tube magazine gun can safely fire pointed bullet rounds if you are willing to accept the gun as a 2-shot .... 1 in the chamber and another 1 in the magazine. As to flex-tip rounds, I have had problems with those if they are left in the magazine for very long. The magazine spring pressure flattens the flex-tip and if it stays that way too long it is no longer pointed when fired and accuracy suffers.
Yep, my '94 gets .45 Leverevolution cartridges. When I still had a .30-30 it did too. They work fine in my revolver too.
Ricci was just using a play on words to shameless plug his item soon for sale. Me thinks.
My Savage 99 was bought because it's cool, pointed bullets is a bonus.
We know, but GBGD, rule 1C, clearly states that any posting must be proven wrong, or hijacked, so we're just following the rules.....😉
It was supposed to be rhetorical, not that anyone here would know what that meant. Now you all might as well go ahead and start bidding on it.
Sure, but he gets his panties in a wad when you act like you are taking him seriously, and casts aspersions on the vocabulary of his playmates, so that is more fun.
Yes. Tube mags included. There is a limit on bullet length; long ones won't always feed, or eject if not fired. The points on the bullets don't mate up with the primers in a 30-30 tube. Only tube-fire incident on record is a Model 71 in 348, which has a different shape cartridge which can engage the primer and the bullet, and which has a heck of a lot more recoil.

Nope, never felt the need. Both the thurty - thurty and the thurty two special have worked just fine without them. Somehow it almost seems sacrilegious to have that thingy sticking out the side of a 30/30. That new fangled bolt action stuff should be reserved for modern cartridges like the 30/40 Krag and thurty naught six. Bob
I allus shot pointy 8mm's in my .32 Speshul. But I only loaded two, one in the chamber and one in the magazine. But since yer's is bolt action you kin load ennything you want as long as they fit in the magazine. Bullshot don't know his model numbers!!!!!!
Interesting ,,,,,,

@forgemonkey your link didn't work for me. I did a search and found it. It is definitely cool. Bob
And yet you didn't post the working link... well here is the one I found @BobJudy
That's weird! I actually clicked on the link after I hit the post comment button and it worked fine. Now I see the link has morphed into the same one that forge posted. The * is gone out of the link and replaced by an *. Thanks for fixing my fix!👍 Bob
Edit; the forum censor must have a problem with G u ns .com because it edited it out of my post and replaced it with another *.
Please do not link competitor sites here.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
My bad, I should have realized that but I don't think of them as a competitor or even an also ran. Now I know and will watch my posting a bit more closely. Bob
Yeah I figured that was the reason, which is why I posted the link direct to the tube site, I'm not as eloquent as some other mods so sorry I didn't explain why your fix wasn't allowed... kinda figured that would be obvious...
