1905 "Mar-Chester" .25-20

This was my grandfather's but was manufactured in 1905; he was born in 1913. Along with all his others I have, the history of each is absent.

WOW, that is Beautiful. One of my favorite calibers too. I would love to shoot that rifle. Bet it has seen its days in the field. Oakie

My BIL had it for several years and I asked to have it since it was owned by my grandparents. I had it briefly before that when it had a Weaver 4x scope (have the same one on a 1901 Marlin .30-30) and sideplate. He said the scope broke and evidently threw it and the plate away. Would love to get correct plate and another 4x scope or at least find the correct rear sight. Still have a box or two of ammo likely from the 1920s.

That is one sweet rifle made even better by it's history in your family.

I have an old Savage "Sporter" in 25-20 nice little round .............................. although crazy expensive.
