  • bigcitybillbigcitybill Member Posts: 4,912 ✭✭✭

Well that didn't take long shootuadeal.

To me, Albert Lum was the nastiest of them all.

    Barz wasn't always a troll.

Wasn't Great Guns the guy that said he was a chef and owned a couple of Ferraris , worked on huge yachts and was moving to Italy?

And Mr Mike, was he the guy that said he had cancer, took pastries to the hospital, etc. ?

Plus, he was a veteran, former LEO.

  • bullshotbullshot Member Posts: 14,680 ✭✭✭✭

Don't know what he really did but he should have been a fiction writer.

I disagreed with practically everything Barz said, but he was consistent in what he believed. Gotta give him credit for that.

I can't recall Albert, but MM was a big troll. Didn't he get busted for posting pics of guns that he said he owned, but were photo shopped from the net?

  • GrasshopperGrasshopper Member Posts: 16,980 ✭✭✭✭

Little. Guns the short order cook - uglygirlracing also, among others

I must have missed a bunch when I was gone. What happened with him? The last I remember, he was still here, talking about guns and frequenting a kid's cancer ward.

  • montanajoemontanajoe Forums Admins, Member, Moderator Posts: 59,955 ******

MM posted pictures of fine high quality guns that he claimed ownership and refinish of. One member here called him out on finding same photo on the internet, on a couple occasions. MM would edit out the picture and it just kinda went pass everyone else.

MM then posted a picture of a special issue Military Police badge he claimed was his fathers from serving as an MP at Ft. Leonard Wood, and gave some details of Ft. Wood and surrounding area. I called BS on his post and showed where the picture of the badge was taken from the internet. I further explained that was not the issue badge at Ft. Wood, and pointed out other false claims to MM regarding MP's at Ft. Wood. I explained I served as a MP at Ft. Wood. MM began back pedaling and was unable to back his claims.

About the same time he had a very nice rifle in a thread claiming ownership, and that he had worked on, refinished that gun.

A member again pointed out that the rifle was listed two other places on the internet for sale and included the exact same picture(s) MM had posted.

MM went in and began editing all his post. Mark seen this and MM was busted. Mark was very upset over this. He said he was scammed by someone he thought was truly a friend. He was hurt, embarrassed, and angry. MM was banned and Mark dumped a ton of his post/threads.

He had a lengthy diatribe re a Mauser rifle he was customizing. He was always wondering if he needed to do more or if he had done too much.

I did a quick search and found the exact rifle/photo he was touting as his custom. It was for sale on another site, with the hang tag visible from the trigger guard. Albeit, you needed to enlarge the image and enhance the color.

I ask why ‘his’ rifle was for sale elsewhere and he started deleting his verbiage. That’s when MC dressed him down and the rest is history.

Great Guns did indeed move to the Amalfi Coast.

For me the winner, hands down. Was Captain Unfun.

eboydell wasn't a troll. He was an attorney in Metaire Louisiana. I enjoyed his posts.

This forum has certainly changed and evolved since I first started lurking here way back in my gun counter days. Back then it was certainly entertaining but you had to wade through an awful lot of b.s. to get to anything useful. There are three characteristics that I have little tolerance for; arrogance, rudeness, and lying. We have had an abundance of members in the past that have had one or more of those characteristics and sometimes all three. I think you can fill in the blanks.

GG and Barz were guilty of both arrogance and rudeness the last year or so that they were here. Perhaps I was a bit more tolerant than most because I attributed it to the Covid pandemic. Barz is in the medical field and I figured his stress level had probably gone off the charts. GG had big plans with his move that were stymied by the pandemic and I think he started to take his frustration out on us. I may be in the minority, but I miss seeing them both posting. Bob

I could spend hours talking about this Topic but I will hold my tongue. Nobody is perfect and then there are the Fakes. If you stick around long enough you will spot them. I think Capt Fun and Mark knew how to squeeze the fakes out of the woodwork. I found Bert was very helpful over on the Auction Side. ---------------------------Ray

In case any of you are interested, there are many definitions about trolling and why people tend to do it... here is just one example that is pretty good generalization of the topic:

    https://www.lifewire.com/what-is-internet-trolling-3485891

And for what it is worth at least one of the Members mentioned above wasn't banned, they choose to no longer post after having their hand slapped, mainly for dishing it out but complaining when the same was done to them...

I guess I understand what a troll is in part. The only one I really remember was Barzilla, that is because it seemed he wanted to argue about the China virus. If I recall he felt he had all the answers and everyone else was stupid. I do remember Serf and his conspiracy theory’s. I just figure he’s has moved into some under ground bunker waiting for someone wearing black to knock on his door any minute, lol.

As was told to me once, “ it would be a boring world if we were all the same”.

There was only one dolt that was responsible for shutting the forum down multiple times over the years from posting thousands of gay porn links, and that was Lum, under various stage names.

It was a blessing when technology finally ousted that loser forever.

There was a TikTok fan on here not long ago that got the boot. Lots of TikTok promotion, lots of negative opinions of Americans that didn't think the way he did. I'm glad most Americans don't think the way he did. The guy was a dolt.

Mr Mike migrated to another forum after getting booted here. It didn't take long for them to wise up and boot him also. He was one of the most accomplished bs artists I ever saw .

I take remicade infusions every 10 weeks for arthritis. They wipe me totally out for tge day . Always wondered how he was able to do so much with all his medical conditions .

Earl, if nothing else, had a great imagination. He had so many famous girlfriends. I got to know him a little over a few years. He answered my legal questions when I began buying rentals. Also, I bought a new Ciener 22LR conversion for my Ruger Mini14 from him. After all, anyone who dates Laura Breckenridge is OK in my book. 😉

It's too late for me, save yourself.

What makes Barzillia unique is he had the slipperiness of greased Teflon. His claim to work in Government and possibly healthcare may or may not have been true. His claim to having a corrupt worker jailed with details to follow was never explained.

Barzillia would make a wonderful spokesperson for the Putin or Biden regimes simply because his answers to direct questions were non-answers and obfuscatory in nature. He was a master at hiding truth, sniping from the edges and always being right in his own little world.

Maybe not a true troll, but Ranchero Paul went way out of his way to get Doc aka Saxon Pig fired from his teaching job by making contact with his employer

I always thought that was the biggest JERK (or any other adjective you would prefer) move of all time concerning this forum.

  • allen griggsallen griggs Member Posts: 35,614 ✭✭✭✭

Earl was a trip. One time, maybe 14 years ago he wanted to post some pics but he didn't know how. I told him I would post the pics on this forum.

Earl emailed me the pics, in 7 emails, there were 34 pics!

I told him "Earl. baby, you gotta do a little editing I am not going to post the entire album! Pick your best 6."

He did, and I posted them. He was a character, I liked him.
